Goals:
Launch International Museum of Dance (IMOD) “Moving Southwest Festival” as a destination for international dance.
Inspire dance enthusiasts to travel to Santa FE New Mexico to take master classes – African, ballet, contemporary, modern, Flamenco, hip hop, indigenous – and attend world premiere performances and dance film documentaries.
Strategies:
Media relations played an integral role in elevating the profile of the International Museum of Dance “Moving Southwest Festival.”
Develop a strategic alliance with the Sante Fe tourism office to offer complimentary press passes for visiting journalists 1) to participate in dance classes 2) to attend the dance performances or film documentaries.
Leverage public service announcements to raise awareness about the upcoming dance performances, film documentaries and dance classes.
Results:
Our efforts resulted in 56 million consumer impressions with stories in the following media outlets: ABC KOAT Daily San Francisco Bay News, Enspire magazine, Newsbreak, NBC KOB4, KRWG Radio, Rio Rancho Observer, Santa Fe New Mexican, Taking the Kids, Yahoo
